Immediate Dentures

These dentures are made and inserted immediately once your natural teeth are removed. The denturist takes measurements and impressions at appointments prior to tooth removal.

Conventional Dentures

Subsequent to impressions and measurements taken we do a try-in appointment .At the try-in stage the denture teeth are set in wax which allows the patient to insert and preview our work and allows us to verify all the parameters before finalizing them in acrylic.

Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture consists of a metal framework that is held by one or more natural teeth remaining on the upper or lower arch . The missing teeth are added and attached by the pink or gum colored plastic base to the framework. Not only does a partial denture fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from changing position. The clasps that attach the framework to the teeth can be either be metal or nylon .The nylon can be made to match the natural teeth shade rendering the appliance more natural looking.

Relines

The bone structure that supports your denture changes over time. It is important to have your denture professionally relined every 24 months to ensure that it remains secure and protects your gums from shrinkage and sores.

A denture reline involves removing a layer of plastic from the interior surface of the denture, which allows for a new impression to be taken . The impression is converted into acrylic thru the process of relining and the new surface matches perfectly the patient’s gum line.

Lower dentures can either be relined with hard or soft material , soft reline material is typically performed if you are unable to wear hard dentures as a result of tender gums or soreness due to lack of bone . The material used here is much gentler on your gums and is less likely to cause soreness or irritation. This material will stay pliable for at least 2 years .

Implants

It is common after several years of denture wear that the jaw bone shrinks to the point that implants are the only solution left to secure a lower denture.

The 3 hour appointment consist of the dentist placing 4 or 6 mini implants into the jawbone and the denturist placing the corresponding amount of attachments into the denture . This is called immediate loading and the patient leaves with denture secured to implants. While the denture is still removable, it takes the patient both hands to unsnap it.
